老實說
因為這首曲子太舊
我不知道這首曲子的原唱者是誰
但它每次出現在大銀幕都予我深刻的印象
第一次是「英倫情人」（The English Patient）
第二次就是這部「第六感生死緣」（Meet Joe Black）
第三次是「綠色奇蹟」（The Green Mile）
還有沒有其他電影用過這首曲子就不清楚了
而它這三部片中的出現
又屬「綠色奇蹟」讓我最感動

是我更鍾愛的曲子
出自「綠野仙蹤」
這部老片說了N年還沒看過
倒是在「電子情書」（You've Got Mail）
和此片又聽到它的改編版

大體上來說
這部電影的配樂有我一貫喜愛的優美旋律和古典編制
契合劇情需要而散發高貴典雅氣息
熟悉的主題旋律穿梭在各段樂曲之間
將Wagner的leitmotif（主導動機）實踐得很徹底

片尾晚宴部分
因為劇情中有煙火施放
配樂也因而濃豔華麗 高潮迭起
即使單獨聆聽都令人動容
這或許是Thomas Newman最棒的作品了
